At Side Quest Business Coaching, I specialize in helping authors who want to support their careers through side businesses or want to make more business contentious decisions in their author career.

​It can be frightening, can't it? What if it doesn't work out? What if it's a waste of time and money? I've never run anything like this before. What if...There are always more what ifs waiting to pummel your brilliant ideas to the ground.

I am an author and small business owner myself, so I know how intimidating it is to take that next step into the business world. My goal is to take the scary out of starting a business. With a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration and more than two years of experience running a business, I am eager to support you in whatever stage of publishing or running a business that you find yourself in, whether you are pondering the idea or want to take it to the next level.

​What I specialize in:

• Creating business plans (basically the who, what, when, where, and why of your business idea)
• Determining ROI feasibility (whether or not a business decision will make  you money)
• Indie author business decisions (should you make a publishing company, where to sell your book, how to handle your own sales through a website or in-person, etc.)
• Outsourcing (how to know when is it better to pay someone else to complete work for you)
• Productivity and time management 

Areas that I don't specialize in:

It's important to know what areas we aren't as skilled in so that we can save everyone time and money. Here are a few of the areas I'm less skilled in and probably wouldn't be able to help with.

• Author taxes. I hope to either gain enough knowledge in this area to feel comfortable coaching others in the subject or possibly bring someone else on to the team to coach, but I'm not skilled enough yet to answer questions in this area.
• Specific marketing tactics, like ads or newsletter swaps. Again, I would love to gain skills or bring someone else on who specializes in this area, but today is not that day. 

What you'll receive when you work with me:

• A 40-minute video chat where we discuss your business questions and create an action plan for future steps.
• Recording of our chat for your future reference.
• A detailed action plan, written by me, along with links to helpful resources to guide you on your way!
• A 10% discount towards future sessions with me. *

*it is important to note that it is unlikely that we will solve all of your business inquiries in one session. While I will try to cover as many of your questions as I can, I recommend that you enter the session with one specific question that you'd like answered. This will help avoid confusion and frustration.
